The old site of it and than the new one. We could see the Tower Bridge and London Eyes. The people which we met there were nor always very friendly and helpful. I am glad for you to getting better. I am afraid you had had a operation on your eyes. I didn`t know it!! Where did you write it? And who did made the operation? A hospital at German or England. In my opinion you would have more of your journey when you know the basic vocabulary. You say you going to in a year. In the meantime you could learn the basic on Lynne`s forum. To poetria1 - when learner77 would stay at London only a short time I think it would be a pity this time to waste in a school. What do you mean?

For example:- Day 1 - go to the bakery and buy me a loaf of bread and some bread rolls. Day 2 - go to the bus stop and get the bus to the centre. Ask for a return ticket. etc etc. Ref walking around - when you go shopping try going into smaller shops and boutiques, it gives you more chance to practise your English than by going into supermarkets etc. Your Teacher - The Learn English Network

The city breathes, lives its own way, being independent from its inhabitants. It is a huge organism, monster. The people come, go away, die in this marvelous city. It witnesses crimes, deseases, fire and rassism. I guess it is a peculiarity of all metropolies. Thus, I'd never live there for it FRIGHTENS me a bit. It is full of myths, colours, smells which have their own stories. This monster is not kind at all, not generous. The faces and the names disapper here. It is loud. You hear all noises, all languages. It is multicultural, of course. It inspires people of arts. P.S. By the way, Germany is multicultural too. Have a nice day!

I went around the corner and I was on the right road. Than I had to find the right house number. I saw a queue on houses. Some houses weren`t nice to look at so were also our house with the No 54. Outside looked it not so fine but the inside of the house was noble. I think the poeple there is it they never mind how it looks on the back where the frontdoor is.
