Thanks Jarp,
I've heard of this, but hadn't actually watched it. The ending is very funny (I've featured it on the Have fun with English blog now).

I think the nearest international airport is Bristol, but there are regional airports.
This link should help:- http://www.cornwall-devon.com/public/140_Air+Links.html

Hello!
Today at school some girl told me that when she was visited in England a few year ago. She was some pub where some bloke had been kicked off from bar because this guy had ordered two beers showing his two finger wrong way. Is that really so that you are kicked off from bar if you ordered beer that way. |

It's possible, some people take great offence at this gesture. It always amuses me when my German friends do this to me though, because I know they
don't mean it.

Generally hand gestures are safest if you have the palm facing outwards, but yes, best to avoid them altogether.

I know: Curiosity killed the cat!
What does it means in Brit? It might be I`m silly but I know in German it`s means "peace" or "pieces". Did I got it right/wrong? |

It's very rude and I can't write what it means because the filter would block the word. Have a look at Wiki:-

That's helpful. I've noticed that English people tend to spell words, when in Italy this practice is quite unusual. That depends upon the
pronounciation of written words, that is often uncertain for us....a big obstacle for foreigners. Even so, I like English pronounciation, especially when Lynne
is speaking.

I would like to cook something, some simple dish, of course, maybe spaghetti "aglio e olio" (Garlic and Oil) , but they (my girlfriend) say I'm
not able to cook, because I'm too "intellectual". She doesn't trust me as a cooker, so, I can't begin my "experiments" and I do
not improve. Mushy Peas ? Looks tasty...but I'm also on a diet, (diet will help me cycling, just bought a new bike for this Summer), even if tomorrow
evening we're going out to eat with friends. If you go to a restaurant with another couple you must eat something, of course, you can't bother other
people with your diet, so tomorrow morning I have to run and do exercises before eating, to "allow" me to go out.
