But you don't have to be so specific when you're talking about places you've travelled to or visited.

Sometimes it does make a difference as to whether you use "to" or "in".
For example:- Last week I was in London. Last week I went to London. But you don't have to be so specific when you're talking about places you've travelled to or visited. |

With the purchase of a digital camera I received a free plane trip to an European city, which I choose, so in September I will go one week to London
I think London is one of the most exciting city on the world, but for me it will be something very special: On the one hand I have a great desire to go, I know that visiting a city is the best way to learn a language, its cultural diversity, its people, .... On the other hand, I am afraid that I don't know the language well enough to deal unaided. Finally, the die is cast. When I return, I hope to tell you my adventure |

Hi guys,
Wow! Jam, You were so lucky to get a free trip to Europe. I'm always hoping that one day I could go to the UK to visit my friends. I have a lot of friends who are studying there..including my best friends. I miss them so much since it's been a long time since we last met. Besides, I would like to go to all the stadiums like Old Trafford, Emirates, Stamford Bridge, etc to watch football |

Finally, I'm in London .
By the way, if someone gets a trip with a camera, please, better than travel on your own and you forget your free. Among baggage and airport taxes exceeds any flight routine. Apart from the trip, this city is really fantastic. The first day I missed a few times. The second day I thought that I no longer lose. I was wrong. Today, the third day, I still lost. Anyway, I like to enjoy this city, even if I'm lost. It is curious to see how many different people who we are and how we disguise ... I like it! |

Hi Jam,
I hope you have a fabulous time. I'm not sure what you mean by:- "By the way, if someone gets a trip with a camera, please, better than travel on your own and you forget your free. Among baggage and airport taxes exceeds any flight routine. " Could you explain? |

Oooops Lynne, I'm sorry. I referred to a post that I had written slightly (2 above) about ..... "With the purchase of a digital camera I received a
free plane trip to any European city of my choice. So, in September I will go to London for one week ..."
Anyway I'll try to enjoy London, even if it rains, as it is doing now. A greeting, |

This year I visited England and this trip was marvelous. I visited London , Brighton, Ashford , Canterbury but small towns of southern England impressed me the
most. One of them is Folkestone.Has anyone been in Folkestone? It is small and wonderful town of old England. Quiet and friendly people, nice speaking. This
town is on the north coast of The English Channel. When it is clear we can see France. A perfect place to relax after a busy day in big city. I want to return
there again.

Hi Urmikl,
Thanks for your post. Yes, I have been in London several times but I`m sorry I haven`t never been outside the city. How many miles is Folkestone away from the city of London? Maybe anyone here can us tell more about it. |

Hi Hermine,
Thank you for your post. There are 71 miles away from London. It is easy to reach there by train. It takes around 1 or 2 hours. This town is near Ashford where is Eurotunnel. If you will have an opportunity to visit Folkestone grasp it. |

Hi Lynne,
I wanted to say the following: I flew with Ryanair and I paid 78 pounds for airport taxes, 20 pounds to baggage taxes (Going out) and other 20 pounds to luggage taxes (Coming back). If you see, on Internet there are a lot flights cheaper than "my free plane trip". Company Ryanair told me: You should never trust of the flights booked by other advertising companies, whether in cameras or other products, are usually a hoax, a swindle. |

Hi Jam,
Oh no! That's a bit mean. But at least you had a nice time. -------------- By the way, if someone wins a trip, please bear in mind that sometimes it's better to arrange the trip yourself, and you forget your so-called free tickets. What with baggage and airport taxes it can end up being more expensive than a routine flight. |

students. (Lynne, it's right use always 'I'm going'?or can I use also 'I will'?...mmh.I don't understand very well the differences
between either yet..)
anyway, I want to go there alone, because I fear to meet a lot of Italian people!I don't want to speak in Italian!! I will pretend to not be Italian!

Hi Susi,
How exciting! What nationality are you going to pretend to be? You could have said:- Hi! I'm going to London this summer! I am going to attend an English school for foreign students. I'll be there for two weeks, at the end of July. |
