Hi Lynne,
I'm not sure whether this is the right section for my question or not (If not, please feel free to move it to the appropriate section). Actually, I have an upcoming audit in August and will be going to Germany (Ravensburg to be precise) and was wondering if you can head me in the right direction since you're living there. Some friends of mine told me to go Switzerland since it is very close to Ravensburg. Is there any specific city I should be going for sightseeing in Switzerland. Also, is there any place near Ravensburg I should go for sightseeing. I'll be stopping for a day in Berlin. This time I'm planning o take my husband and daughter with me as well. Thanks, Learneng

Hi Learneng,
I'll move this into the Germany section. I've never been to Ravensburg, it's about 4 hours from here, but I can tell you one thing: a day in Berlin is not long enough. Here's a list of tourist attractions in Ravensburg:- http://www.planetware.com/tourist-attractions-/ravensburg-d-bw-rav.htm Lake Constance (the Bodensee) is definitely worth a trip. Weissenau Abbey is worth a look too. (I'd want to go to the Ravensburger Co. too, but I'm not sure if you can. They make my favourite jigsaw puzzles.) |

Hi Lynne,
Thank you very much...and sorry about posting it in the wrong section. I'm taking your advice and planning to be in Berlin for almost two days. We checked a couple of sights on the net and found a promising van tour (we try not to take those hop on-off buses because you loose a lot of time in locating the correct bus stop and you end up walking way more). We will catch a train (my husband want to go in those fast magnatic train) from Berlin to Frankfurt, if there is any. I'll be auditing my vendor for two days in Ravensburg but my husband and daughter will have plenty of time to go for sightseeing there. from Ravensburg, I'm planning to take a boat or train to Zurich, Switzerland. I Googled and found out that there are three-two days long tour. I'm not sure about the reliability though. Thanks again, Learneng PS: Grrr..I had to write the whole post again, I lost it because I forgot to log in. |

Oh no! That's happened to me too, it's very annoying. If I post anything longer than a sentence I always Ctrl C it before I press post reply.
I'm very jealous. I think everyone has been to Berlin, except me. But have a lovely time, and tell us all about it when you get back. |

Is your place close to Berlin?
I'll let you know. I'm in the process of booking my tickets and applying for the visa. |

Thats what I'll do with my dogs. The younger one (Millie) loves kennels. She is happy with other dogs and would prefer them over us. But my older one
(Sunny) loves us to death. The moment we reach at the kennel, he starts whining. The helper at the kennel literally drags him to his cage. He reminds me of my
daughter when we used to leave her at the daycare center.

Aww bless. Funnily Sam and Laika don't mind going to the kennels, but they do kick up a fuss when we leave.
