best...self study books for CAE

hello...i want to take CAE exam in few monts (more exactly in June) and i just wonder if you can advise me some books, that would be helpful...especially i am looking for self study books because i don`t want to attend course...and prefer rather studying at home by myself....thankx for any advice:)

I really want to get a scholarship to study abroad. I'd rather study in England than the USA but I find it difficult to get a full scholarship to study here so maybe the USA is a better choice. However, to get a scholarship, I have to prepare for many exams, SSAT , SAT, Toefl, I don't know which I should take first. Time is limitted and I wish I could go abroad next year. Can you give me some advice?

a new teacher

For this term we have got a new teacher. He is a young teacher and teaches in a University too. (beside study)

Yesterday we had our second lesson with him and it was awful for all of us. He speaks very fast and he doesn`t care about looking for an easier word for us. He even swallowed the last letters in a word. I`ve got to admit we disgust politics and it is not an easy theme.
He read some paragraphs out of a book very fast and we (the learner) looked at us each other,...

A-Level Exams

I have A-level General Paper exams in about fourteen days. I registered on this forum to get some help from professionals on English language.
I glanced through the rules of the forum and noticed that new members are allowed on two replies on existing posts. I think I will have to reply more than twice on posts.

Does anyone know about a good free on-line English Course where:

1.- The course is structured by lessons.
2.- You have an account and you can follow your improvements (in a results table or something like that)
3.- The exercises can be checked in a simple way, and the solution shown next to the mistakes.

i measure myself as good in grammer but something is still confused to me that is the difference between will and going to.
e.g. i will leave the room.
e.g. i am going to leave the room .

I have planned to take Internet Based Test (IBT) TOEFL Exam on January 2008, and currently I am still preparing my self to face this exam.

As I had experienced Paper Based Test (PBT) TOEFL , I found no problem with listening and reading section (it just longer than question on PBT), but I have a lot of problem for the new section on the IBT: speaking section.

Fortunately I'm done with the final exams and I passed, so no more stress and blue pills and teachers trying to comfort me and getting me back to work when I rush out of the exam room, crying and shaking. '-_-
